Description

In honor of the 45th anniversary of Roe V. Wade the landmark Supreme Court case that protected a woman's right to choose by legalizing abortion, Planned Parenthood of Nassau County is hosting a private screening of the HBO Documentary, "ABORTION: STORIES WOMEN TELL," which chronicles the barriers, personal circumstances and treacherous difficulties women face across the country today in order to access abortion care.

Prior to the screening, PPNC President & CEO, JoAnn Smith, will speak to briefly talk about the film in the context of the current debate and efforts to limit abortion access. Then, award-winning storyteller Tracey Segarra will share her personal story. Tracey's stories have been featured on The Moth Radio Hour on NPR and she is the producer of the Long Island-based storytelling show, Now You’re Talking.

Following the film, attendees are welcome to stay for Q&A.
